Copyright is among the most complicated areas — the author has one set of rights, the performer another, and for example a producer or developer yet another. We will help you understand these relationships, set up contracts and defend your rights against copying or free-riding on your reputation.

Licence terms and software

We will set up licence agreements, terms of use (SaaS) and rights to works in relation to employees and suppliers — from music and video to software development and databases.

Events and artists

We have extensive experience organising events with domestic and foreign artists — from supplier contracts through fees and their taxation to licences for the artistic performance.

The simplest way to distinguish yourself from the competition is the name, logo and visual appearance. We will set up a protection strategy, register a trademark or design (Slovak, Czech, EU or international) and monitor them.

EU design reform (2025)

The European design rules have undergone a reform (a new regulation and directive on designs, phased in from 2025) — it modernises the registration rules and the scope of protection. We will advise how to get the most out of them.

The highest form of protection is a patent. Registration is demanding — besides the correct technical description and patent claims, you need to consider the strategy, territorial use and budget. We will guide you through the entire process.

The unitary patent and the UPC

Since June 2023 the European patent with unitary effect and the Unified Patent Court (UPC) have been in operation — with a single application you obtain protection in several EU states and resolve disputes centrally. We will consider whether it is more advantageous for you than classic national or European patents.
